Only two greens for ZK-MCY.

ANZ flight NZ5075 from Auckland to Nelson on Sunday got only 'two greens' on approach to Nelson.
A divert to Palmerston North, a fuel burn off, and a safe landing ensued.
See HERE for passenger disembarking video clip (thanks to STUFF).
The ATR ZK-MCY remained on the runway until checks were carried out - which closed the runway for the remainder of the day affecting nine other scheduled flights.
Our Blog contributor Andy Heap was one of the lucky passengers.
Pics below from Andy show ZK-MCY safe and well.
A view of the Air Chathams Convair 580 ZK-CIE.
And a view over the Marlborough Sounds from the Metroliner that eventually carried some of the passenger to their destination.

  1. The Convair took most of the pax to Nelson on Monday. The metroliner followed about 30 minutes later
